What is Real Spirituality?

- Nowadays the term 'spirituality' is misused in mass scale. It seems that who use the term 'spirituality' now and then don't know what the real meaning of spirituality is. In Sanskrit the term 'Adhyatma' is used for the term 'spirituality'. Word meaning of the term 'Adhyatma' is the body and the mind. So we can say the 'Adhyatma Vigyana' (science of spirituality) as science of the body and the mind. In other words we can say the 'Adhyatma Vigyana' or the science of the body and mind is 'Science of the Life' because life is the unified form of the body and the mind. So the science of spirituality is the 'science of life' and essence of life is health and happiness; and property of life is independent-ness and independent-ness is inherent on sincerity to self. Hence spirituality or essence of spirituality is sincerity to self. To be sincere to self is to maintain health and happiness. Self is represented by the body and the laws governing the body; not by the mind. So to be sincere to the self is to be sincere to the body, body's tone. Being sincere to the body the 'person' can maintain health and happiness. So the spiritual people remain healthy and happy. Sincerity to self is sincerity to other beings also. So the spiritual people remain as a source of inspiration to remain healthy and happy for others. Hence the spirituality is not a mysterious thing as presented by so-called 'spiritual leaders' or 'gurus' all over the world. Spirituality is simple, that is, to be sincere to self and others.
