8th General Meeting of NLG

2067 Shrawan 29th Saturday (2010 August 14), Nature Lovers' Group' 8th Annual General Meeting was held and meeting was successfully concluded. At meeting around 70% of NLG's members participated.

At first the meeting was started by NLG's Secretary Mr. Purendra Bikram Lakhe by welcoming members. Then present members introduced one by one themselves. Then Mr. Purendra Bikram Lakhe presented organizational report of the fiscal year 066/067 and annual program for fiscal year 067/068. Then Ms. Sarita Dangol NLG's Treasurer presented income and Expenditure statement and report and Balance sheet of the fiscal year 066/067. She also presented the budget for fiscal year 067/068. After then Chartered Accountant Mr. Suman Dangol presented the audit report. Then members divided into there groups to discuss on the presented report . After discussion every group presented their valuable suggestions and all documents were passed unanimously. Then Dr. Umesh Shrestha, the president of NLG shed light on annual program and budget. The main theme of this year, NLG's program is "Ones Health at Own Hand" and "Proper Diet, Activities and Thinking Campaign".

Under the banner of "Ones Health at Own Hand and "Proper Diet, Activities and Thinking Campaign" NLG decided to survey at least 100,000 people's health condition by using only Rs 4 hundred thousand (4 Lakh).In comparison to Government expenditure this will be very efficient Campaign to inspire people to be healthy. For example Nepal's oldest government hospital, Bir Hospital checked up only 3 lakh 19 thousand and seventy nine people by expending huge amount of Rs 350 million in fiscal year 2066/067. If NLG would had so much budget NLG can bring Drastic change in health sector and can inspire every people to take their health at their Own hand.

In reality medicine only can change or suppress disease symptom but cannot make people healthy. To be healthy and happy we should follow proper diet, activities and thinking. This is universal truth. NLG is disseminating this very truth.

Decisions made by Monthly Regular meeting of NLG Working Committe

NLG WC Meeting Yesterday Decided—

1. to open new Hiking Route around Godawari-Phulchoki for Regular Hiking Program on 10 April. A team of NLG Volunteers will go and clear Hiking Trails on 24 March from 8 AM to 3 PM. Interested friends who want to donate their labour are well come! Volunteers should pay NPR 100 for participation.

2. to conduct Hiking for School Students around Godawari Kunda-Chapakhark-Machhapokhari on 3 April 2010.

3. to conduct Rgular Hiking Program around Naudhaara-Taamadon-Pahadiban Trail-Phulchoki Half Cahaur-Naudhaara on April 10.

4. to conduct 3 Days & Night Residential Program for School Teachers within first half of April 2010.
